Weber linkage parts source
I was using Weber 46s on tall manifolds. Then I installed TWM 46 throttle bodies to use Electromotive TEC3r EFI. I thought my Weber linkage would just plug in.
Not really - because the TWMs had a longer butterfly shaft lever arm, and that shaft is located higher up from the manifolds (and thus closer to the air filter base plate), I could not use the drop links (too long) or the TWM lever arms. I dealt with the drop link issue by deleting the lock nuts and shortening the threaded bits, both male and female. Crude, but worked. I ordered a left hand die so I can make something better from scratch. So I have that part covered more or less. I took the throttle levers off of my Webers, and put them on the TWMs. I didn't realize how difficult it is to get the fancy return springs to work, but I did and it works. So that part is covered, and the throttle is working. But I want to replace the levers on my Webers. I checked with PMO's site, and with Pierce Manifold's site, and with Carburetion.com. I got Porsche part numbers for the levers (but not the lock washer, which seems needed because tightening the nut in the normal way seemed to cause a bind), but no real indication on whether these were available, nor what cost. Suggestions? |
PMO has the short lever arms as NOS and so do I, these were removed for the more typical longer ones.

I have 40's on pmo tall manifolds with similar challenges; could not get full throttle and also get full idle - partly cuz there was not enuf pedal stroke available before it hit the floor - I reomved the oem ball and redrilled the bellcrank and extended the effective lever arm - and fiddled a lot with the drop links; finally have them working OK and in unison -
