thermostat required
 
I put in a 993 tank and oil line and I believe the thermostsat stuck .
I only track this car do I need a thermostat ?

Its a VERY good idea to retain one, even for race engines.

Most people are simply not disciplined enough to carefully warm the engine before running it hard and I've seen my share of popped coolers and worse.

what are the dangers if the oil isn't warmed up . And what would you consider warmed enough ?

You will pop the cooler.

180 deg F is warm enough to race. :)

Doesn't do much for engine longevity either to run a cold engine hard. I run a thermostat in my track only car, and it usually warms up to 180* in a lap or 2.
