where to machine my flywheel I want to machine my flywheel to take some pounds off. Where would you all go for this and how much? I'm thinking taking 1/2 pound or 1lb off. This is a street car and has a good bite on the clutch so I'm no too worried about slipping the clutch. Also, how much do you guys think is good for a street car? Thanks, -P |

Its easier to use a light aluminum pressure plate to remove weight. Bruce |

 Who sells those? |

They are the Sachs sport or something like that. Pelican sells them or I might have a used one, pressure plate that is. Bruce |

For street driving you don't want to use a lightened flywheel. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/284786-alum-flywheel.html |

I suspect you could buy one of these for less than the cost of machining unless you can do that yourself. This will work fine on a street SC (I ran it on mine for years). http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1288075250.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1288075289.jpg In fact, I'd make you a deal, as this is surplus to my needs.
