2.4/2.7 Con Rods
I have been looking at rods for a 2.4 engine and the centre to centre length seems to vary.
Wayne's Book gives a dimension of 217.8mm but I have seen rods specifed as 127.7 and 127.75. I am sure that this small difference isn't too important but wondered if there was a specific reason? |

Chris,
I think it's 127.8, here is my logic 2,0 and 2,2 = 66mm stroke, 130mm rod, 34mm compression height = 197mm from centerline to deck 2,4 = 70.4mm stroke, 127.8mm rod, 34mm compression height = 197mm same geometry, remember that the 2,4 heads and the 2,2 heads are the same (for the pundits who will claim the geometry was different due to the cylinder/head interface.
