head studs

Hi everyone,does it matter if a headstud touches the fins as it passes thru.the cylinder?Thanks,T.C.

Generally, no. It's easy to catch the threads of early cylinders especially 2.7's. Just go slow and straight. I have seen poorly Time Serted/Case Savered cases where it's a huge pain getting the cylinders past the studs.
