911 2.4 Distributor adapter for 2.0 engine

Want to know if there is an adapter that would let you place a 2.4 Distributor in a 2.0 engine. Does anyone know if there is such a thing out there or if it can even be done? Thanks for all your help.

adaptor

We make an adaptor that will raise the boss up to the level of the 2.4 and later cases, we designed it for our distributors for customers that say had an early case for a spare race engine and their main was a late style and did not want to buy two complete distributors, but the catch is you need to machine the early dist hole in the case to accept the later dist. diameter. If this helps let me know or check the website maybe some other ideas for you.

We have been putting 2.4 distributors in early cases for years.
It requires that you turn the distributor body (shaft) down and cut a new o-ring groove so the larger shaft will fit in the early case.
We also remove the mounting boss to preserve the aesthetics of the project.
After you turn down the shaft of the late distributor you can use the early clamp to secure the distributor in place.

We even make an electronic/ pointless distributor that uses the same cap, rotor and Bosch internal components as the 911 SC. It uses the same body that we use for twin plug distributor conversions.
Larger cap area prevents spark jump and pointless means no point bounce at high rpm and no need to adjust timing after installation.

Why place a 2.4 distributor in an early case ?

Does it work with a 66mm or 70.4mm cranckshaft ?

Vaccum advance must keeps in place or not ?

Thanks
