Dilavar Head Studs on a 1990 3.6

Hi All

In the middle of a 3.6l rebuild which had no issues with cylinder/head leakage prior to disassembly. I suspect the PO replaced approximately 150kms ago. I have the type which are not threaded the full length and appear to be in very good condition with just a few paint chips. Can I reuse the Dilavar studs? Is there any kind of test to determine they are OK before reinstalling them?

TIA
Bill

No change them do not even think of compromising here, they are notorious for not taking the re-torqueing very well. Do your self a favour and save time and money now do it right....

Use Supertec. They are far better... and cost less. Cant say that very often..

Has Porsche ever officially indicated, they are a one time use item as on their rod bolts? Any input on the Canyon steel head studs?
