RSR Fan Housing

I have been offered a fan housing - but I only have photographs, which claims to be an RSR small fan but I am not entirely sure.

The claim is that it allows the Bosch Twin Plug RSR distributor to fit into the engine.

I have a 904 fan housing and it is quite different but if you want to fit a genuine Marelli 906 style dizzy you need this or a 911R fan housing or the dizzy fouls the fan housing.

The Casting Number on the Housing is: 930.106.101.0R but I can't identify it from this number.

I suspect it may be a housing that takes the 226mm fan but has the same outer dimension as the 245mm fan housings but I am not sure.

Does anyone know?

That fan housing is a 225mm 78/79 SC housing. It the same diameter as the RSR housing but it is not the same as the RSR housing.

The correct casting number for the RSR shroud is 901.106.103.00

RSR Houstng

Chris

The SC fan housing has the same I/D as the RSR housing, but its O/D is bigger, the lip around the housing is larger also. The RSR is sand cast mag., while the SC is die cast. The SC casting number is about 1/2 inch high and easy to read, the RSR is about 1/4 inch high and almost impossible to read. I can send pictures in a week or so?
