you don;t need the carerra flywheel etc unless you are going with a motronic. Just buy the 60-2 tooth crank trigger wheel from Clewett. I used that with his serpentine belt system with my MS1 and my MS3 migration which included the 3.2 intake. All i had to do is clearance the ports some to match the angle of the injectors, since the 3.2 injectors sit above the head, vs the CIS which stick down into the head. I used 3.2 gaskets with the spacers. No problem, no leaks. Just working on the final tuning of fuel and ignition maps, but i am really close on those, just need a little more road time to let autotune do its magic.

To those of you that made your own phenolic spacers,
What kind of phenolic sheet should I buy? Thanks |
Hi,
I am a fellow 911 owner is actually this is one of my first posts/request for information. I have an early 911 2.4 L now carbureted. I have undertaken the project to convert it to electronic fuel injection. Last year I purchased a complete 3.2 Carrera intake with, sensors, harness, fuel lines, and injectors. I also purchased a mega squirt v3 ECU with harness. I have now finished machining my adapter blocks [spacers] and installed longer intake manifold studs. After I finished painting the manifold I want to start on the electrical connections before I install the engine. Actually I want to get it running on my garage floor. Anyhow while you're project is different it has many common elements. I am hoping you can share some of your experience with me. From my readings I hear that early engine temperature sensor were prone to noise and when using the mega squirt one should consider going with a more modern engine temperature sensor(not one from the early 70s). Did you use your original engine temperature sensor? If so did it work okay? If not what did you use and where did you mount it? From your pictures I also see that you have mounted the original Carrera MAF. How did you wire this in? I plan on using the original Carrera MAF, and I am curious if you have any wiring diagrams to wire this into a mega squirt. Thank you for your time in advance, I sincerely appreciate your response.
