Removal Oil Pump & Oil Pressure Relief Plugs

What do you guys use to remove the oil pump & oil pressure relief plugs from the engine case?

Mine have been removed before by someone who appears to have used a flat blade screw driver and damaged the slot.

Is there a special tool?

Any suggestions????

Need to get in there and clean the pistons and bore.

I had to use a punch in the slot with a hammer to get them loose. I replaced them with new ones from Pelican that have a hex head drive so you use a wrench to tighten.

After cleaning.......that's the plan.......NEW hex plugs

Removed mine this past week-end. Get a Drag Link tool. May have to file the blade down a bit to fit the slot. They are cheap on e-bay.
