Valve advice 964

Pulled one side of head to replace some leaking exhaust valves.

Plan to be a short term track engine.

Everything I read is to find some sodium filled valves -- except
I don't know where to find them.

3.6L 91 964.

strongly prefer just straight replacements without going to the expense
of doing head work (as Im only planning to pull one side)

pointer/links would be great.

thx,

Mike

Mike, I don't know this to be a fact, but I read somewhere that all the OEM exh valves after a certain date are all sodium filled. Can we get a pro to weigh in on this?

Thanks,
RC

964-105-419-03-M154 our sponsor has them 53.00 each. Pull the heads you just might need to grind them and not replace them. But i would do all of them grind them and the seats and new seals. Not just one side

I thought conventional wisdom(i.e. here and rennlist) is to replace all the exhaust valves if you pull the heads as they get brittle over time. If not -- I'm happy to save the coin.

are the 964-105-419-03-M154 sodium filled?

I had asked about the 930 ones which are supposed to be replacements, but they are not sodium filled.

thanks,

Mike

i dont think they are. i think the 300$ a piece ones farther down the page are. but you might want to call them and ask.
