Is this glue on the back ot the cam chain boxes?
Looks like a sealant of some type to keep oil from coming through from the chain rail pins and the tensioner pivot.
Can I just remove it, clean it up, and cover the area with some fresh JB Weld or is there something better? Thanks. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1310331961.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1310331981.jpg |
Looks like the epoxy that the factory uses to cover the back of non-threaded plugs. Helps hold it it place and seals against oil leaks. Scrap off the rest of it with a wire brush and use some JB Weld to replace it.
