RE: Two Unused Wires-Rear Seat Area?

Doing some interior work on my 1977
Removed the rear deck panel and found two wires running towards the rear window not connected to anything.
I "assume" these are the wires for the rear window defogger but don't see any tabs on the window to connect them too.
Where should I look for the defogger connectors to the rear window?????
NO......these are not wires for the rear seat speakers. All four of them were connected.

G - you'd probably get a better response on the 911 forum, as this is not an engine issue.

But the defogger connections are on the right side of the rear glass, a bit less than half way up (from memory). They can be a b*tch to hook up when replacing the rear glass (including reinstalling it after a paint job or the like). First time I did this I got it hooked back up. Second time I eventually gave up. Defroster is a good thing to have back there, though.

Use a voltmeter and see if turning on the rear defroster puts 12V into one of them.

Or they could be part of an aftermarket 3d brake light system.

If the connectors are vey small and just look stock, I'd guess they are for the defogger. Easy enough for you to check now that you have the package shelf out. They come up from the relay back by the left rear of the engine through the firewall on the left side, and cross inside the passenger compartment (hidden by stuff) over to the right and attachment through small holes in the window rubber.
