Which engine would you recommend for turbo/EFI mods?
 

First thing I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Greg and I live in N. Cal.

I've always loved Porsches, even before I could drive. I can remember seeing them go by and trying to convince my parents that they needed to trade "UP".

During High School ('72-'76), I worked part time and then full time in a couple of different auto body shops. I went on to complete an auto body apprenticeship and worked in this trade for 9 yrs. During this time every Porsche I worked on was sort of a dream for me.

I've been retired for awhile and and then went back to work recently. My business has been very successfull so no I'm ready to start playing with my dream.

I'm looking at '69-'74's to eliminate any smog checks. I'd like to modify it with EFI (Megasquirt that I'm working on) and an intercooled turbo.

What engines would you recommend?
