				What Sump plate cover?

I have upgraded my 2.4 with a new carrera oil pump. The old sump cover doesn't fit anymore. What sump cover do I need. I see that our host has several types. Thanks David

I'm pretty sure you're going to need the plate that is more bowl shaped. I have this style plate on my 2.7, but it does not have a drain plug. It is much deeper than the flat plate with the plug, so it leaves lots of room for the oil pick-up.

This is what I purchased from EBS. I can't get it to clear the Carrera oil pump screen. If I force it, it will mash the screen down about a half inch and I can get the nuts started. I really have to mash it on to make it work. Is this the way it is supposed to be installed? David

I would not use that plate, do not want to crush the screen. The factory one does not have the drain plug. I'm using the Rennwerks one with the "Carrera" type pump, it works good no problems just as I wrote in the other post a little longer stud would be nice but not necessary. The sheet metal type plates can warp over time and leak. You did change the relief & safety pistons, springs and do the bypass mod.? | ||

David, I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Can I ask how you resolved it? Thanks in advance! Dennis

Get the factory plate without the drain. The original never had a drain.

I went with the aluminum plate from Foreign Intrigue. Don't know which brand but perfect fit with a drain plug.
