need fuel injection removal link

Evening all,

Need to remove the entire CIS system (including intake manifolds) from my 78 SC

Does anyone have a step by step link or any words of wisdom that will allow me to complete this taks whilst retaining as much skin and sanity as possible.

Hints on how to get the retaining nuts off of the intakes for cylinders 3 & 4 particularly appreciated

Thanks in advance

1/4 inch drive, long, long extension, and a swivel 12mm which is what the nuts are suposed to be. You might get a 13mm too just in case.
I might be able to use it if its forsale after removal.

Hi Glen
Would you tell me the reason why you want to remove the injection?Do you want to remove it with the engine in the car?
If yes, be very careful about it.While removing, there are washers(under the nuts) and make sure you count them all so they do not fell inside the intake cyl.holes.That would be a problem.
what you want to remove is called octopus...an Air box complete with the injections, right?
Let me know i will tell you some tricks and an advise of course

Many thanks guys, system is fully removed (washers & nuts counted :o) - without dropping engine - will likely do a partial drop for re-installation.
The intake rubber boot had a hole in the rear, fatigue - 33 years old, will check over weekend for other issues.
Regardsless I will likely upgraded to an EFI system.
