Cylinder gaskets... Green?

Hi There

Can anyone please tell me if the standard Porsche or OEM gaskets that go at the base of the cylinders are the green in colour? Are these gaskets the same as supplied by Wrightwood rod Racing or are theirs superior? How about the ones that go between the head and cylinder? When the cylinders were pulled on my motor they had green gaskets at the base.

Tks

Berni

Don't know what year your engine is, but the cylinder base gaskets for my 3.2 were copper. The 3.2 don't have cylinder head gaskets.

They should be copper. Some I've used had a green coating on them. I think it was a sealant of some kind. They seemed to work fine.
