42 webers on 46 PMO manifolds?

Im getting my 40 IDA3C webers bored out to 42s by Paul Abbott to be used on my 3.2 motor. I have a set of PMO intakes that have an opening of 46mm were the carbs mount. Is going from 42 to 46 and then down to the size of the intake ports going to cause a problem? Or would it be better to to get a set of 40mm manifolds and have them bored out to 42 to match the carbs. Thanks Ron
