Cam Timing Windward Sport S/C

Taking down my 1979 930 for reseal and will do rings, bearings, valves etc. My problem is I installed cams made by Windward Performance out of Putney VT about 15 years ago with my last rebuild. Windward is out of business. I cannot find my notes for the cam timing. I will measure the overlap before I disassemble but I assume the timing will not be accurate due to chain wear. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have spec written in my SC book for their cams. It was into a turbo and they were called
SC Sprint Cams.
The book isnt at my fingertips but I know I can get the setting spec.
It was from the same time period.

Windward Cams

Thanks Bruce. I will appreciate the information. I wonder how the S/C Sprint cam timing may vary from the S/C Sport grind.

Probably the same cam I remember sprint, maybe it was sport. Either way it ll probably work with the flat pistons.

Measuring the overlap to give you a base line sounds like a good idea. The assumption would be that any chain stretch would serve to retard the cams, seems to me. You could even compare that with the spec Bruce digs up, though of course you have only what you remember of your standards (within 0.005" +/- good enough) as a guess as to what they actually were set at back when.

The shop opened today and I got my book.
The note is for Windward Sport Cams and the setting is 1.7 to 2.0.
Sorry it took so long, Christmas and New Years.
