Dansk mufflers

I built a 3.2 shortstroke last winter in my garage. Here's a little more info before I ask my question. It has 9.5 to one J&E pistons,79 heads, cams, mod S on 108 centers,46 PMO,S,1&5/8 headers O.D,recurved distributor and a Dansk two in two out stainless muffler. My question is does the two in two out mufflers have the same inerds. My problem is , at cruising at 2500 to 3000rpm in the lower gears (throttle plates barely open it runs rough ,almost like misfiring.Tried jet ting to no avail.Talked to Richard Parr about the situation and he thinks the muffler doesnt extract properly under those conditions. He suggested a two in one out muffler. So I decided to try plugging off one side of the Dansk,&low and behold it runs perfect now. Im wondering if I'm loosing any power or scewing anything up .(campbells soup can). The car still hauls ass.Thanx Toonerob

Interesting situation. I have a Sport M&K and have plans for a similar rebuild. Steve Weiner suggested I would gain some power by using the Dansk muffler through my SSIs. If you speak with him directly he will let you know for sure if the muffler or the headers are the culprit.
