Custom Fuel Rail - PMO ITB's
I have PMO ITB's. Trying to fit the AC more comfortably. I need a Fuel rail 10 inches long instead of 9.5 inches with the extra half inch being at the right rear (right where compressor will go), and with the tap for the fuel line being on the bottom instead of the end. This will save over an inch over the standard PMO rail/setup. Anyone here able to create a custom rail? Its PMO so needs to have the proper spacing.

Just buy a fuel rail extrusion and drill holes in it, tap the ends and fittings ad you're done. You can buy a special drill also that already has a step in it.
I did custom fuel rail from Aeromotive extrusions but there are others also who produce/sell them, like here: Dash 8 Rail Extrusion

I have 6 AN fittings as that is what comes with the PMO ITB rail. Any reason not to buy the Dash 6?

Just cut the end off the one you have and weld a right angle fitting to it.

They are too short or i would. I need them to be 1 inch longer. I know it seems weird to make them longer to actually make them shorter but the PMO's are very short between the end of the rail and the injector.
The fitting to end of rail occupies about 1.66 inches. so by creating a rail .75-1 inch longer, tapping the bottom, i will save .75 inches. i need about .33 inches to be comfortable so this will work well..

I have some Dash 8. I have the Injector holes just about done. I went for the special drill bit for 14mm injectors. The PMO rail was Dash 8 after all, not Dash 6.
Question, how did you create the slots for the clips? or did you not fabricate that since the rail is bolted down? Quote:

There is no need for clips since this is bolted down. Do the new rails have a provision to bolt down?

Yes. I drilled holes in the exact same location as the PMO rails. So it bolts up the same. The PMO rails where made of the exact same material. So it was just a matter of drilling the holes on the drill press exact. Helps to have all the right bits and taps...
Thanks Jaime.
