top end rebuild

ive been told that my 2.2 needs a top end rebuild can any one tell me what they will need to do and what parts will they change many thanks brian

You ll need a 2.2/2.4 gasket set. That will give you seals for everything on the engine. The heads go to the machine shop and they will cut the faces and seats, check the guides and they will probably need replacing.
Some people change valves but as long as they are in spec youre good to go, the 2.2 to 2.7 valves are very expensive compared to later 3.0. New springs, if you want, send the valve seals with the heads.
Oil return tubes, chain rails, cam oil lines, tensioner guards will about complete the list
