Timing chain issue

New build, 3.0 case, GT3 Crank, Elgine Cams. We have the case up to cams, and I just measured the spockets, Left reads 3.88 inch and right is perfect at 1.70 (per bently). Everthing looks good, but the right chain seems to "click" or bind on the sprocket. These are used sprockets, dont seem worn. I have Stomski Mech tensioners, and have them tight. Any ideas?

TIA

What was it??

Turns out, even though I was in spec for the right dimension, I was .020 off form the actual distance from int. shaft gear to face of the sprocket. Removed a shim, and all is well.. Running 4 shims on the left, and 2 on the right.. Now onto the timing of the cams. Should be ready for Motec by Friday.

Mechanical tensioners = track engine, yes?

Factory tensioners recommended for street-based engines.

Yes, full track 3.6. We always run the Mechanical tensioners in our race engines.
