What's your favorite assembly lube?

I was wondering what peoples favorite assembly lubricants are for Porsche motor assembly? Feel free to be specific, maybe some are better for cams vs bearings, etc.

I have Red Line Assembly lube, Torco MPZ Engine Assembly Lube, and Torco EAL HP for High Pressure points. The Redline is the thinnest and Torco EAL HP is the thickest.

What's your favorite?

It depends on how long the engine will be sitting before actually starting it.
For long term...I use spray on Moly lube (dries to a black film on the bearing surface).
For shorter term...a mixture of Moly-Slip and heavy oil.
Your milage may vary...LOL

We use Red Line on dry film coating. No coating, still use Red Line

I used the Red line on a Kawi motor I rebuilt with good results. Plus Tim Kerrigan is from my hometown, Sonoma and good friends with my best friend's dad. Who I turned wrenches for back in High School. You should see Tim's '57 Chevy!

Hey Henry, Is this the Dow Corning 55 grease you use? (The Dow grease in your lower gasket kit looks pink, this is white...)

The Dow 55 we use is a government spec product.
It comes in large tubes (5.3 oz) but my guess is that they are the same.
