yah, don't remind me. Sometimes life gets in the way of what you really want to be doing. I'm working on that.

I thought I would update this thread. I sent the broken can off to John Dougherty to figue out what were the spec of the cam that broke. Here is the response.

"Looks like a shrick profile someone copied. 272/256@.050. .490"/.462" lift 101 lobe centers. Similar to the 3.0 RSR cam with more valve lift."

That thought has occurred to me also. When my SS 2.8 blew up on the chassis dyno it took me over a year to take it apart. Disheartening, and if you have alternatives there can be less urgency. I still haven't gotten the parts I need to get that motor going again.
