Pelican Parts Forums - Mechanical chain tensioner and parts for oil by pass mod

Hi,

I rebuilt my 66 engine and would like to know :

- what Mechanical chain tensioners, chain wheel support ... I should install to improve reliability

- what are parts # (piston, spring, plug ...) I have to change when oil by pass mod is done.

I use chain box year 66 and 68 - 73 camshaft housings, Carrera oil pump mod by Supertec

Here is what I have found on PP forum but would like to be sure before order.

1 - Timing parts : Chain tensioners ...

Right side :
- chain tensioner # 930 105 053 00
- axle support for chain tensioner if used # 901 105 056 01 M100
- chain wheel support from 1980 # 930 105 510 00 or early chain wheel support modified by Supertec or early chain wheel support + chain wheel spacer # 930 105 513 00
- sprocket # 901 105 055 00
- sprocket axle # 901 105 056 01

Left side :
- chain tensioner # 930 105 053 00
- axle support for chain tensioner if used # 901 105 056 01 M100
- chain wheel support from 1980 # 930 105 509 00 or early chain wheel support modified by Supertec or early chain wheel support + chain wheel spacer # 930 105 513 00
- sprocket # 901 105 055 00
- sprocket axle # 901 105 056 01

Chain tensioner slip prevention collars can be fitted on #901 and 930 mechanical chain tensioner # 99 0458 053 M230

For vertical valve (pressure relief valve) :
- piston # 911 107 512 00 M260
- spring 86mm # 930 107 531 01 M260
- spring guide # 930 107 533 01 M100
- gasket # 900 123 106 30 M131
- plug with groove # 999 064 026 01 M260

For horizontal valve (safety valve) :
- piston # 901 107 512 01 (with hole)
- spring safety valve # 901 107 531 01 M260
- gasket # 900 123 106 30 M131
- plug with groove # 999 064 026 01 M260
