LWF sensor teeth

Continuing to clean and inspect hardware as I put my 3.6 back together. In examing the LWF that replaced the dual mass I noticed that two adjacent teeth are missing from the rim of the flywheel. The two teeth do not appear to have broken off but look as though they were cut off cleanly. Is this normal? These are the teeth used to trigger a speed sensor.

That is what does the triggering. The sensor counts when that gap goes around.

Thanks. I believe you are correct. After posting my question, I noted that the LWF had been counter drilled 180 degrees from the missing teeth, which effectively keeps the wheel in balance, so I was about to answer my own question. But, thanks for the confirmation.
