how do i remove this type of cam retaining plate

I've not seen pics of this type or descriptions of how to remove. Does the end of the shaft come off? Or does the shaft get pushed from the other side? In any case, can someone tell me how? Thanks.

Remove the woodruff key and everything will free up and disassemble.

from the back you can see the top edge of the plate. pop it loose with a large screwdriver levered off the cam tower. they don't tend to just fall out for you.
