Which GT3 Crank for 993 Engine Rebuild

So I have been looking at GT3 cranks and oil pumps to create a bullet proof bottom end on my 993 engine rebuild, however I have noticed a number of different part numbers for GT3 cranks.

Does anyone know the differences between the following cranks and what if any issues could be faced with each?

996 102 021 95 - M97-77
996 102 021 94 - M97-76
996 102 021 92 - M96-79

Thanks in advance...

Gt3

The newest p/n is 996 102 021 95, the others superceded to this ( as of 2 weeks ago) cost was 1716.79

Thanks Mike, As I understand the only thing i need to replace (other than different rods or pistons) is a different pulley, it that how you understand it?

Gt3

Steven, the GT3 cranks are pinned on the opposite side and have a smaller pin, the stock pulley is a serpentine, perhaps Clewett has an early style pulley for this conversion, the pankl Ti rods are 3.0 SC dimension and the GT3 rod bearings are a good choice, have some pistons made and enjoy !

Thanks Mike, really appreciate the advice.

I have found that rothsport make a pulley for this use. I have a set of Pankl Ti rods already, so will just get a set of pistons made and should be good to go..... Thanks for the advice in the GT3 rod bearings, was going to be my next question.

I wonder how the price compares now, to back then?

A lot more. Even the .95 says its been replaced - that one could be had $1800us - new one closer to $3k.

…how about the pankel Ti rods capability? What piston weight can they hold at what max rpm?

Are you targeting 3.8L or 4.0L with your rebuild?
