Con Rods
We have just sketched some H Beam con rods that we are going to manufacture.
![]() We have positioned the holes to the top of the rod which is the standard position. It has been suggested that this will cause the rods to fail at high rpm as soon as the throttle is closed. The original 906 Titanium rods had the oil holes in this location. I also believe that the 127mm rod Pankl supply for the GT3R has oil holes in the 'top' of the rod. I am not 100% sure that using oil holes in the standard position is a problem although many H beam rods do have the oil holes on the lower surface. Any input gratefully received. Crower did my Ti rods that way. They do umpteen zillion rods for the 'murcan market, so I'd think if there was an issue they would have seen it just for statical sample size alone
![]() 395g total, 95g recip, 300 rot. SPS multi phase bolts. t
