Easy one guys...simple MFI question
So I bartered with a buddy and ended up with a 70 E engine which had been converted to webers. He kept the webers, and I will convert it back to MFI. The shroud is black...no big deal, as it could have been painted. Weird thing is...the shroud is flat with respect to the ducting for the oil cooler. Some of the shrouds I have seen, have the long grey colored duct that is riveted to the shroud, that sends air over to the cooler. Other shouds have a smaller grey duct, as the shroud itself has a shaped duct built in. This shroud has no tunnel...no grey duct. And in fact, where the short grey duct would have joined the "shaped " part of the shroud...there is a flat piece of steel in its place. Question is...what shroud is this? I have never seen a shroud without some form of ducting over to the cooler. I figured you wizards could figure this out without a picture...if I get no correct answers (how am I going to know what answer is correct?), then I will take a couple pics. I should take pics anyway...eh? Good luck and let me know what you think. There will be a prize...maybe used connecting rod bolts

The one you have is for 65 to 68 maybe even 69 T, the 70 should have the grey rivited cooler feed that is one entire section over the cooler, I think 72 was the first split where you could remove the cooler

Ok...so it looks like this

Also note the custom oil cooler cover. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1338209556.jpg I believe this is the correct shroud for a 2.2 E http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1338209633.jpg So does the black shroud look like an early 911 duct-less shroud? Correct for what year? Thanks Speedo |

The yellow one is for a 72 2.4 T mfi

You want the green shroud for the "E" MFI engine.
