Congratulations. I hope it went smoothly. Make sure you stuff all the openings with paper towels to keep debris out. I had a circlip get away from me when I installed the pistons and of course it shot right into the crankcase. Fortunately I got lucky with a magnet.

Looks good.
Does it make a difference which way the through bolts go in?

Good catch. Even though the book says it doesn't matter, I will switch them when I put the o-rings in. I put them in with out the o-rings as I read in the sealing thread and I will put the o-rings and sealant on, one at a time after the case seal is set. Ed, I will make sure to plug. Thank you both.

You probably know this, but the "sealant" for the O rings is non-hardening, Dow Corning 111. Silicone paste, this is a lube to help seat the rubber O ring and so it will move with expansion. Also use it on the return tube O rings. Are you using the green case O rings or the blue ones? If you are using the green ones make sure the washers sit against the case, no gap.

Good job, but what's up with the studs?
Everyone should use Supertec studs on their 911 based rebuilds. It's cheap insurance. Plus a life time guarantee.

I got the Supertec sealant kit. Correct o-rings and o-ring lube.
Jim, couldn't afford the studs. I only replaced the exhaust studs. I also like to read Thomas Sowell. His books and his columns.
