1987 Carrera 3.2 Engine Transplant
To make a long story very very short, how long do you think it would take to perform an engine transplant on a 1987 Carrera 3.2? The entire drive train (engine, transmission and muffler) is out of the car.
A little explanation: due to a series of unfortunate encounters with under-qualified mechanics, the engine, transmission and muffler are currently out of the car. I was shopping around various garages and was wondering if anyone could provide me with an estimate for the rough time needed to install an engine, transmission and muffler. |

To install them in the car would be only a couple of hours for an experienced mechanic. For an amature it might take 4 to 6 hours. It really depends on if everything is really ready to go (oil lines match the car, wiring matches the car, connections aren't broken, etc.).
