1987 Carrera 3.2 Engine Transplant

To make a long story very very short, how long do you think it would take to perform an engine transplant on a 1987 Carrera 3.2? The entire drive train (engine, transmission and muffler) is out of the car.

A little explanation: due to a series of unfortunate encounters with under-qualified mechanics, the engine, transmission and muffler are currently out of the car. I was shopping around various garages and was wondering if anyone could provide me with an estimate for the rough time needed to install an engine, transmission and muffler.

To install them in the car would be only a couple of hours for an experienced mechanic. For an amature it might take 4 to 6 hours. It really depends on if everything is really ready to go (oil lines match the car, wiring matches the car, connections aren't broken, etc.).
