Just checking, as I have a line on a set of Mahle 2.2s P&C's used with in spec( a trade for other parts) no$$$ out of pocket. My intention was to send them to you for reconditioning, and get the piston lands matched to new rings. So you're saying that it would be an honest 10.3:1? I read somewhere that they really didn't put out quite that much on the 2.4 motor. Even so wouldn't the twin plug cope with that?-Guy

All things being equal, the difference between the compression created by a short stroke crank (66mm) and a long stroke crank (70.4) is an honest .59.
If chamber CCs are equal, the bore is equal and the only difference is stroke. If you truly have 9.8:1 the calculation is 10.39:1 static.
Twin plug will handle that if you watch your fuel octane, heat and ignition advance.

It can really make you crazy trying to ascertain the logic behind Porsche's engineering process but your theory is as good as any.

Very nice! I think the secret to happiness is certainly being able to match your profession with the things you like to do.

He makes them for early cases as well as clockwise and counter clockwise rotating. We use them because they are built around the Bosch distributor and they have that "period correct" look.

I haven't even got 200 miles on it and I already have an offer. The last one I built sold with less than 150 miles. It's hard to pass up a good offer. I wish these little cars weren't worth so much. :)
