Total stud length
I'm just gathering tools and information before dropping and replacing the studs on my 911sc. I'm just planning what to arm myself with to removed them, one of the broken ones is especially long
![]() I'm thinking of getting a welder to tackle the broken ones if they are too short for the stud extractor. They are the original dilavar gold colour studs from 1981 model. All I can find in Demseys book J's they should be 135mm above the case. From what I have measured I should have 3 -4 mm above the block, not good. Would be useful to have the exact length of a full stud. Thanks. |

studs
If you need the OA length of the 911 cyl stud, I checked several and they vary from 6.445in to 6.473in OA, the installed height from the seal surface on the case to the top of the stud is 134 to 135mm (not including the bullet style like ARP)
