Difference in 3.0 Turbo and 3.3 Turbo Cranks?
My search did not answer my question, so I ask here.
I have turbo crank for sale, and was wondering how do i tell if it is early or late turbo crank? I think what I have is a 3.3 crank, but want to confirm. Thanks! |
A 3.0 turbo crank has 6 flywheel bolts and is a 2.7 crank and rods.
A 3.3 has 9 flywheel bolts for 78 and 79. A 3.3 from 80 on has 9 flywheel bolts and a 3 bolt pilot bearing where the 78/79 is pressed into the flywheel as were all the 911/930 pilot bearings through the 70s Bruce |
I think then I have a latest 3.3 crank.
I remember the 9 holes on the outside and believe there where 3 holes inside that ring of holes. Thanks Bruce. |
