DTA Wiring Harness
Anyone made one? Or, bought one?
I have been looking for information and found nothing, except a wiring diagram. Can I convert my 3.0 L harness? Thanks for any guidance. |
DTA Fast - Engine Management - The Power Group

We buy unterminated harnesses and custom make the lengths to suit various engines, depending on sensor placement. We have all the proper connectors, boots, trick sheathing, shrink tubing, and yellow shrink labels. Overall length is determined as to placement of ECU. I prefer inside the cockpit, since the DTA S series are supposed to be waterproof, but we have seen moisture issues if placed in the engine bay. There is always someone that gets too happy with a hose or pressure washer it seems.

Clean out all the conductors going into the engine compartment and marry the DTA to stock harness as best you can.. Please don't use split loom of spiral wrap for your harness...use some nice high temp sleeve and appropriate shrink tubing.. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1347077082.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1071452944.gif |
Thanks for the replies, where do I buy an unterminated harness?
|
I see Clewett sells them. Also, Rothsport. Thanks everyone.
Tim, you did that setup yourself? Looks very nice. |
The unterminated wire harness has to be specific to the ECU that you are going to use. There are two separate wire connectors that plug into the DTA S60 if that is the one you chose. Rothsport can supply you with what you need.
