Wiring question ignition plate
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1347952993.jpg
Hi! Quetion concerns a 1969 911T LWB car undegoing full (14 yrs ;-) restoration. The wire pointed at with yellow arrow... What is it and where is it going....? picture is from internet but old picture (13 yrs old so not digital) from myself shows exactly same setup only with 3fuse-box. I made cable like this long time ago because old one (yellow arrow) was realy bad. Now I don't now where it goes... Also on all wiring schemes I can't make it up. Please help! Where can one buy such a + connection block or aftermarket replacement because mine is bad! Thanks already, Bart |
That should be the red main coming off the back of the alternator. Connects there to go directly to the battery. The 69 is such a 1 off car but recall the routing of the starter was different than all the others.

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for quick reply! However the red/white is the one comming from the alternator.... (The starter is comming directly from the (left) battery, thats 100 % correct ;-) I also saw pics where there were only 2 connections, small red to fusebox and red/white to alternator.... Any other suggestions more then welcome! Bart (from the lowlands -> Netherlands) |
