Advance Curves
 

The subject of re-curving SC distributors keeps cropping up and I have found it impossible to buy springs specifically for the Bosch dizzy.

I have found plenty of Lucas springs but they don't fit.

Does any one know if the Mallory Springs work?

If you're looking for stiffer springs to delay the centrifical advance and can't find any you can try lightening the steel advance weights by removing them and drilling a hole(s) in them.
Drilling holes in the advance weights would be better than grinding metal off the ends because if you lighten them too far you can always braze the holes back up with brass rod.

my advance comes in too quick, old springs.
this guy apparently has some. its worth a try to put them in
and check out the results w/a timing light before going the
rebuild/recurve route

I bought one of these to try to really get to grips with dizzy rebuilds, I would have preferred a moder King machine but at around $7000 it was out of my budget. :)
