how to clean cloged fuel lines in an '83

I have an '83 930 that sat for 13 years and all the gas dryed up leaving a thick, dry varnish. The gas tank and fuel pumps were removed and cleaned with lots of steam and boiling water. The fuel lines run though the center of the car and not easily removable. Does anyone have an idea how to get the thick varnish removed ?

The fuel lines come out to the front. With the tank out you should be able to pull them through. Theyre the same for SC and Carrera, just need to match the fuel pump banjo.

I have just installed new fuel lines on my Carrera 3.0

It is apart, so it doesn't get much easier. It is definitely doable.

If you think the lines are clogged, I'd change them.

I believe some of the parts might be NLA, but Len, BoxterGT, here on pelican makes them.

Good luck

In my -81 924 what sitted about 10years only change needed was the rusted fuel pump(in this section) and the curved short pipe what connects to fuelpump..

and after driving about a month the fuel hoses from center of the car thru driver side fender close to driveshaft to upper pipes on top of the fuel tank bursted, but I was lucky they bursted when I was on parking lot.
