Watch your oil level now that you've got it running. Your level that is showing 1/2 way on the stick when dead cold can jump up A LOT when the engine gets up to operating temperature. I recently overfilled my '87 that was up on blocks for way too long. Turns out I hadn't drained the engine sump before refilling with fresh oil. The James Bond 007 Aston Martin smokescreen I laid down in my neighborhood was downright SHOCKING. So much smoke in my garage that I couldn't see more than 3 ft. in front of my face. Now I know what it feels like to be a firefighter in the the thick of a smoky fire.....

Keep that idle speed up while you're running the car parked. You want to get plenty of oil to your cams and rockers if they're new or reconditioned.
