Any downside to using new studs on case perimeter?

Another studs question since the case is apart again: any potential downside to installing new perimeter studs instead of re-installing the studs that were removed when the case was cleaned? Do they just get threaded in with loctite and set to the correct height? Is the case or case threads compromised in any way?

Is the case or case threads compromised in any way?No, as long as you torque no more than 18ft #

Thanks, Dick. I ask because a few backed out with the locknuts on them. The locknuts don't want to come off with the double nut method. I cut one off with a dremel and cutting wheel and left the slightest groove perpendicular across the threads. Probably no big deal, but I may get new ones (if I can find them) for peace of mind.
