Porsche tool P-202 too small

I purchased a P-202 cam holder from Sir Tools and it was too small by maybe 1/32 of an inch. They sent me a replacement and it was too small also. Could someone tell me if the cam might be different from stock. Engine is a 68 t 2.0 . The car was brought to Boulder Co. From Poland, and I am the second owner. Has been painted 8 different colors and was last registered in1985. Car also came with original alum. Framed ducktail R.S. flairs on rear and front plus R.S. front and rear bumpers . I can't find the original owner .Merek Malik where are you. I thought maybe the car had been rallied at some point hence the 8 paint jobs so maybe the cams might have been upgraded .
Any thoughts?

Pictures of the end of the cams would help. Are the pistons & cylinders correct? If P&C's were changed maybe cams are different too.

Measure the ID of your new holder, and I (or some other of us) will measure mine (ours). And I can measure a cam flat to flat - have one sitting on my bench. MM would be good, but thousandths of an inch would do also - the wonders of digital calipers, now so inexpensive that everyone who works on motors should have one.

Flats on the cams are 17mm
Open end works just fine for a Porsche tool.

Porsche P-202 tool

The cams measured out at 17.00. This would be stock yes? And the tool from sir tool measured out at 16.9 bad tool twice? My motor is apart I took the Dremel and massaged the tool to 17.00.
