964 heat deflector install before or after the heads?

Guys,

I am in the middle of my rebuild and i am at the point to install the heads abd the cam towers, but the powder coating compagny is running being the schedule for delivering the parts which are the heat deflectors and the valve covers.

My question: is it possible to install the heat deflector after the heads and the cam towers are install on a 964 engine?

Just for fun here are a picture :o

Heads maybe, cam towers no. Unless you use the collapsible oil return tubes.

Pat, I think you might have to wait.
Looking at this pic, I can't see how you would be able to slide the deflector over the three mounting studs with the heads installed unless you replaced the studs with bolts.
