Oil pressure sender for 3.6 in a 1987 911 chassis?
Will I need to replace the stock 993 oil pressure sending unit for correct oil pressure readings on my '87 911 gauge?

Jon,
the sender on the 3.6 is labeled 0-5 bar and the gauge is also 0-5 bar. |

I know that when I did my transplant: 3.6 into 81' SC, I had to use a different sender. I want to say it was the one from my 3.0, but I'm not positive. I'll try and look around later today for my notes, and get back to you. I believe Steve Timons(sp?) talks about this in his nomenclature for transplants. His business is Instant G.

My mistake. I changed the oil temp sender, not the pressure sender. My apologies. Just found my notes.

Jon, I just checked the PET for the 3.6 and my late model 3.2. They are both #911 606 112 00 so I think I'm good to go there. Your 3.0 must have had a different part #. The 3.6 has a dual post pressure sender that communicates with the pressure gauge and separately, the idiot light.
