Weight of 993 Crankcase
 

Anyone know the approximate weight of an empty 993 case?

I figured this out. The weight of a 993 crankcase is approximately 57 lbs. Wrapped in plastic, then carpet, then styrofoam and double boxed the actual shipping weight came to 83 lbs! The dimensions of the outside box were 34 x 24 x 20. One could easily get away with a smaller box (and save on shipping) if one must, but this was the box I had lying around. It was a U-haul short wardrobe box.
