Layshaft bearing??
I am trying to get the case together this morning and found that the new bearings I have for the outside of the layshaft does not have a oil hole. There is no feed from the case so I am unsure if this is a problem or what? This engine is a 3.2
Have I got the wrong bearing or is this normal? ![]() ![]() |

If there is an oiling hole from the block under that bearing then you'd better have a hole in the bearing. I'd say that you could put a hole in the bearing if needed as well

The bearing is fed from the center of the layshaft through to the nose. That bearing is a thrust bearing but the smaller bearing is the oiler bearing.

Thanks Bruce. I took a look and now I understand. Always something new to learn.
