valve choice/

What would be the best for valves on a 3.0 SC big port, with RSR style mahle piston, Web 120/104 cams, 40mm webers and a >7500rpm limit. This will be a weekend and/or sunny day spirited fun, narrow body 914.
Maybe the odd DE. Big maybe.

The Intervalves from our host or the stainless steel aftermarket replacements?
Or I do have al the specs and skills for custom 8mm stem jobs, but I would be sticking to stock head sizes.

From what I read it most likely wouldn't be worth doing the 8mm on my engine. My VW type 4 experience has me leery of sodiums. Someone said 993 valves but I can't find specs on them and they are spendy.
The Intervalves have had some stem finish issues.
I have a healthy budget, but I don't want to spend coin needlessly.
What should I get?

Also I finally found a link to the Eibach spring spec page, but I can't find a link to the price, order info, etc.

Thanks

I have Wayne's book, but I can't find the specs for the intake valve margin wear limit, exhaust valves will be new regardless.

The valve specs are in the book somewhere. I've used them to check my valves. Maybe I got them from the Porsche tech spec book.

The 993 valves have the stem reduction to 8mm. However the challenge for your heads is the valve size is larger. So you'd have to open up the heads and do new seats for them.

Thanks Kevin

Going to slow down and take my time on this, I have till mid-June before I really get into this build.

I could cut the head of the 993 exhaust down, I have a valve grinder and I don't think there's heat treat issues, but I'd have to research that.
I don't know about the 993 intakes...as I said I'm leery about sodium.

At the price for 993's I could do custom Manley SS valves with single grove keepers.
The 8mm valves would save more weight than those ridiculously priced retainers and springs. Going to 8mm stem I could use steel retainers and still be lighter than 9mm with TI retainers.

Guides I think are just cut down VW type 4. ;)
