Piston sizing for re-plating cylinders, new mahle
I have my cylinders in for re-plating and I have a question on sizing.
My piston clearly says 94,920 etched on it, but that size would be at the top of the pin. Wayne's book says to measure at the bottom of the pin. If I measure at the bottom of the pin I get closer to 94.96 I'm assuming the "0" just above the measurement is for "standard 0" SC cylinder size? Which would be 95.00mm... But if it is 94.92 then that cylinder spec would be to big... I'm going to have a machinist friend confirm my measurements tomorrow. Thoughts? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365973957.jpg |
I found this old thread and Henry explains cylinder/piston sizing. I'm thinking these are "standard 0" pistons so 95.0mm,
