Smoke from the Electronic Points

I just replaced my coil and now there's smoke coming out of the e-points. The positive wires are connected to the positive connectors and vice versa for the negative wires and connectors.

Manufacture defect... labeling the incorrect sides?

HI,
You need to use the correct coil with internal resistance with those pertronix type modules.
They need some specific resistance.
Maybe is late on yours.
